BIRMINGHAM – As UAB Football prepares to carry its unprecedented momentum to its new home in the heart of the Magic City, the UAB Department of Athletics is preparing for the inaugural 2021 season at Protective Stadium.
Season tickets for the 2021 season are already on sale, and UAB Athletics is releasing season parking and tailgate locations now to provide additional information so the Birmingham community can commit to secure their place in history.
Season parking details and season tailgate locations for the 2021 season are included here. Season parking passes are available for $90, and parking passes will be allocated based on Blazer Scholarship Fund annual membership levels during the seat selection process, which begins following the April 1, 2021 football priority seat deadline.
Protective Stadium will have access to more than 7,000 parking spaces surrounding the BJCC complex, and single game parking information will be made available when single game tickets go on sale in the summer.
Tailgate areas surrounding Protective Stadium have been identified, and both pricing and tailgating procedures will be released in the coming months. Student tailgating and parking are available on site, and Blazer Express shuttles will be available on gamedays from the UAB campus. Additional details will be shared in conjunction with UAB Transportation leading into the season.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Birmingham and UAB. We hope that anyone who loves college football or just wants to support our community will take advantage of this unique time in our history and help us continue to build on our recent success," Director of Athletics Mark Ingram said. "We are so proud of what we've accomplished, and the support of our community has been critical."
Commit now to ensure you have access to the best seats possible leading into the inaugural season at Protective Stadium. Blazer fans are encouraged to complete their Protective Stadium Letter of Intent, which secures an appointment time during the 2021 seat selection process. Fans will select their specific season ticket and parking locations during the 2021 UAB Football priority seat selection process which begins in April. Each patron's order of seat selection will be based upon the Blazer Boosters Priority Points system, which rewards Blazer fans for their generosity and loyalty. All support for UAB Athletics completed by the April 1, 2021 priority seat deadline will earn priority points, and each patron will be given a personal appointment time to select their seats at Protective Stadium.
As a reminder, the UAB Department of Athletics will continue to host Protective Stadium Virtual Town Halls to educate fans on what to expect leading into the new stadium. The next Town Hall is scheduled for Feb. 4 at 12 p.m. and fans can sign up here.
