UAB Beach Volleyball Falls to No. 1 LSU, 5-0

FORT WORTH, Texas – The UAB beach volleyball team fell to No. 1 LSU 5-0 in its final match of the Fight in the Fort hosted by TCU on Saturday.
The Blazers (5-4, 2-3 CCSA) finished the weekend at 1-2 overall with a victory over Missouri State and losses to No. 16 TCU and No. 1 LSU.
Court two was the most closely contest match of the day as UAB's Abbey Thorup and Emma Andraka took LSU's Jess Schaben and Sydney Moore to three set on Court 2.
The Blazer duo won the first set 21-19, but fell by the same score in the second. In the third and final set, LSU outlasted UAB 15-11. All other courts were decided in straight sets for the Tigers.
UAB is back in action next weekend at the Stetson Beach Blast where the Blazers will play No. 3 Florida State, No. 4 Hawaii, No. 5 USC and No. 10 Stetson.
