UAB at Rice Football Game Rescheduled for Dec. 12

BIRMINGHAM – UAB's game at Rice, which was originally set to be played on Oct. 10, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, in Houston. Kickoff is still TBA.
The Blazers (4-3, 2-1 C-USA) control their own destiny for a chance to play in their third-consecutive C-USA Championship game. UAB now has two remaining home games and two remaining road games to close out the regular season.
UAB is 3-0 against Rice since returning to action in 2017, and holds a 5-3 advantage in the all-time series. Last year's contest between the two ended up being the longest game in school history, lasting six hours and 15 minutes due to multiple weather delays.
The last time UAB visited Rice Stadium, the Blazers walked away with a 42-0 victory in 2018.
UAB is off this weekend and returns to Legion Field next Saturday, Nov. 14, to host North Texas for its annual Salute to Service game.
