Men’s Tennis Travels to Southern Miss Invitational

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team takes on its third tournament as it heads to Hattiesburg, Miss. to take part in the Southern Miss Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
"We are excited to head to Hattiesburg this weekend for the Southern Miss Invitational," head coach Derek Tarr said. "The guys are guaranteed some good match play against tough opponents and they have been training hard in preparation."
Four Blazers will make the trip to south Mississippi, with Parker Bradbary, Tom el Safadi, Nikolai Manchev and Giovani Pasini competing in the two-day event.
UAB looks to build on an impressive first fall weekend when it won the doubles main draw at Alabama's Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall (Roman Postolka and Michal Lusovsky) and the doubles back draw at the Chattanooga Collegiate Clay Court Classic (el Safadi and Pasini).
Following this weekend's matches, UAB will be back in action Oct. 4-6 as it heads across town to compete at the Samford Hidden Dual.
