UAB Rifle Releases 2019-20 Competition Schedule

BIRMINGHAM – The defending Southern Conference Champion UAB rifle team and head coach Lori Goodwin announced the 2019-20 competition schedule on Friday. The schedule features 11 events, including six meets in the 2019 calendar year.
The Blazers begin their season on Sept. 28 in Statesboro, Ga. at Georgia Southern before heading north to Charleston, S.C. to take part in a match hosted by The Citadel on Oct. 12.
Oct. 26 will see UAB travel to Dahlonega, Ga. to compete at North Georgia. The first match of November has the Blazers competing at Wofford on Nov. 2, while they will head to VMI one week later on Nov. 9.
UAB will stay in the state of Alabama for the final match before the calendar flips to 2020 as it competes in an event in Jacksonville, Ala. at Jacksonville State on Nov. 24.
The first match of the new year will take place at Murray State on Jan. 24, and the Blazers will compete again the next day, Jan. 25, at UT-Martin. UAB travels to Spartanburg, S.C. to compete at Wofford once again on Feb. 1 before making a second trip to The Citadel for qualifiers on Feb. 22.
The Southern Conference Championships are set for March 7-8 and will be hosted by Georgia Southern.
