UAB Football Spends Friday Afternoon at Alabama Splash Adventures

BIRMINGHAM - After a morning walk-through, the UAB football players thought their afternoon would be full of meetings and film, but head coach Bill Clark and his staff surprised the team with a trip to Alabama Splash Adventures to spend some time relaxing at the water park.
The Blazers enjoyed water slides, the lazy river and the whirl pool from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and got to take their mind off football for the afternoon.
"It is important for us to do team activities like this," Clark said. "Camp is such a grind and we have a big scrimmage tomorrow, so it is good for them to relax and enjoy each other's company for an afternoon away from football."
UAB plays its second scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday morning in preparation for their season opener which is 13 days away on August 29 vs. Alabama State. Kickoff at Legion Field is slated for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

Fans can also request more information on ticket options for the upcoming season here. Discounted group tickets and fan experiences are available for a minimum purchase of 20 tickets to any home football game.
