Clark, Dufour and Mofor Head to Conference USA Media Days

BIRMINGHAM - The reigning Conference USA Championship UAB football team will send Head Coach Bill Clark, senior center Lee Dufour and senior linebacker Fitzgerald Mofor to the 2019 Conference USA Media Days, which are set to begin this Wednesday, July 17, at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
The Blazers are coming off their best season in program history. UAB finished 11-3 overall and won its first C-USA title with a 27-25 victory at Middle Tennessee to become the only team in league history to win the conference title on the road.
For his efforts, Clark was named the 2018 FWAA Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year. He has guided UAB to a 19-8 overall record since returning to action in 2017 and a league mark of 14-3 (including the C-USA title game).
Dufour is one of two remaining players left on the current roster who was also on the 2014 team when the program disbanded. Dufour has since started 24 career games at center and last year returned from a mid-season elbow injury for the C-USA Championship and Boca Raton Bowl.
Mofor has been the starting middle linebacker for each of the last two seasons and has compiled 146 total tackles. He is the team's leading returning tackler entering 2019 after racking up 75 for a unit that finished ninth nationally in total defense last season.
