UAB Beach Volleyball Releases Dates for KIABV Elite Camps

BIRMINGHAM - Aspiring collegiate beach volleyball athletes have five opportunities to learn from one of the top coaches in the game as dates for the Kyra Iannone Academy of Beach Volleyball Elite Camps have been released.
The dates of the camps, which will be held at UAB's new state-of-the-art on-campus facility, are June 1, June 20, Aug. 24, Sept. 28 and Oct. 26.
"We are proud to be a part of such a passionate sport and are ready to educate beach volleyball athletes," Iannone said. "Beach volleyball is the fastest growing sport and these camps offer athletes an opportunity to be a part of that growth with us."
Each of the five one-day camps begin at 8:45 a.m. with a campus tour. Following the tour, the first training session on the sand runs from 9:45-11:45 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. and campers then have an opportunity to meet the UAB beach volleyball support staff from 1:30-2 p.m. The final training sessions runs from 2:15-4:30 p.m.

Iannone just finished her second year at UAB and led the Blazers to a school record 14 wins in 2019. The Blazers compete as members of the CCSA, which is annually one of the top two conferences in the country, and UAB also plays host annually to the NCAA Beach Volleyball National Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Note: Camp is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
