Lusovsky Earns Conference USA Athlete of the Week Honors

BIRMINGHAM - UAB men's tennis freshman Michal Lusovsky has been named Conference USA Tennis Male Athlete of the Week following a 2-0 weekend in singles play, according to a release from the league office Wednesday.
Lusovsky leads the Blazers in singles wins with 10, holding a 7-0 record in the No. 4 position. Two victories in the No. 2 position against Middle Tennessee and Belmont over the weekend launched Lusovsky to Athlete of the Week honors.
Along with Roman Postolka, Lusovsky is one half of UAB's No. 50-ranked doubles team. The duo has recorded a 9-2 record on the campaign, with all matches being played in the No. 1 position.
Lusovsky is the first Blazer to garner Athlete of the Week honors this season.
The Green and Gold returns to the courts to take part in the Conference USA Showcase in Houston, Texas with matches against UTSA, Rice and Southern Miss.
