UAB Eliminated from CCSA Tournament by No. 18 TCU

EMERSON, Ga. – The UAB beach volleyball team was eliminated from the CCSA Tournament on Saturday morning after a 5-0 loss to No. 18 TCU in the elimination round at Rally Volleyball.
The Horned Frogs won in straight sets on all courts except on three. UAB's Jayme Bratsberg and Annie Pringle lost a very closely contested first set 26-24 and rallied to force a third set with a 21-12 victory in set two. The UAB pair found themselves down 10-3 in the decisive set and stormed back to get within two points, but ultimately fell 15-11.
UAB finishes the 2019 season with an overall record of 14-17. The 14 team wins are the most in program history. Along with the single season team record, Jaelyn Keene and Tressa Buckland set the individual single season wins record at 19, while Buckland became the career leader in victories with 52.
The Blazers lose four seniors and return a core group of eight players for the 2020 season.
