UAB Football Completes Practice No. 11 Saturday Morning

BIRMINGHAM – On a day full of high energy and big time play making, the UAB football team completed its 11th practice of spring ball on Saturday morning at the Football Operations Center.

- Wide receiver Austin Watkins had a trio of touchdown catches today and he is becoming the go-to receiver for Tyler Johnston III, along with Myron Mitchell and Kendall Parham. Watkins' physical presence on the outside has been on full display throughout spring camp and he's poised for a breakout season in 2019.
- The reason Watkins is scoring so many touchdowns is because Johnston III is putting the deep ball right where it needs to be. - Despite the offensive production, the defense also made big plays as well, including interceptions from Will Boler, CD Daniels and Grayson Cash.
