Men’s Tennis Set for Final Fall Tournament

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team makes the short drive south to Pelham, Ala. for the Samford Fall Invitational, set to be played at Pelham Racquet Club.

"We are prepared for our last fall event," head coach Derek Tarr said. "We will get plenty of matches, which will be good for the guys as we get ready for spring."

The Blazers will send four players to the tournament, as senior Nikolai Manchev, redshirt freshman Chase Parker and true freshmen Nikola Puric and Parker Bradbary are all set to compete Friday-Sunday.

UAB is coming off one of its best showings of the fall season, as Roman Postolka claimed the singles championship in the Crimson Singles Draw at Alabama's Country Club of Birmingham Collegiate Invitational last weekend.

Following this weekend, the Green and Gold returns to the courts on Jan. 12 as it takes on SEC foe Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss.
