BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team returns to the courts on Friday as it competes in the Country Club of Birmingham Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Alabama.
"I am excited for the tournament this weekend," head coach Derek Tarr said. "The guys will get good matches and we will be ready."
The Blazers are set to compete in Birmingham for the second time this fall, after having been a part of the Samford Round Robin in early October. The last event for the Blazers was the ITA Regional tournament in Auburn, Ala. Oct. 17-22.
UAB will send seven competitors to the tournament, as Roman Postolka, Michal Lusovsky, Daniel Janko, Nikola Puric, Giovani Pasini, Chase Parker and Parker Bradbary are all set to play. Postolka will compete in only singles matches, while Bradbary is set to play in doubles matches only.
Following the Country Club of Birmingham Collegiate Invite, UAB is set to compete again Nov. 8-10 at the Pelham Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Samford.
