BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - With the start of the 2018 Blazer football season just 50 days away, UAB Athletics has added another fantastic ticket option for fans to join the action this season at Legion Field.
Along with season and group tickets which are already on sale, fans now have the option to purchase a three-game mini plan which offers the flexibility of any three home games for only $51 in Blaze's Corner or on the East side of the stadium in sections 35-36.
"We want to give our fans as many options to attend games this season to help continue the momentum we established last season," head coach Bill Clark said. "It is our goal to be at the top of Conference USA in attendance again this season and the mini plan option is another great way for fans to be at Legion Field in 2018."
Season tickets remain on sale starting as low as $99 and are still the best option if you plan to attend a majority of the games or are looking for the best seat locations. New in 2018 is the Family Four Pack which features four season tickets in sections 35 or 36 on the east side of Legion Field for $300. With six scheduled home games, this package equates to a family-friendly rate of $12.50 per person for a game ticket.
The Blazers have six home games this season, beginning on Thursday, Aug. 30 against Savannah State. Along with having the Birmingham Food Truck Coalition in attendance to kick off the season, it is also Youth Sports Night at Legion Field.
UAB's remaining home schedule consists of Tulane (Sept. 15 - Extra Yard for Teachers/Band Day), Charlotte (Sept. 29 - Parents Weekend/Medical Professionals) North Texas (Oct. 20 - Homecoming/Scout Day), UTSA (Nov. 3 - Hall of Fame Weekend/Faith & Family) and Southern Miss (Nov. 10 - Senior Night/Salute to Service). Special group rate tickets are available for parties of 20 or more people. For more information on group tickets, contact Chris Curtis at 205-934-3172.
The Blazers went 6-0 in Birmingham last year for the first time in program history and set a school record in attendance with an average of 26,375 fans per game.
Coach Clark's 2018 squad returns the second most starters in the country led by its record-setting backfield in quarterback A.J. Erdely and All-America running back Spencer Brown.
