Ben Vogrin and Michael Dietz To Represent UAB Rifle At USA Nationals

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ben Vogrin, a current member of the UAB rifle team, and incoming freshman Michael Dietz, will both compete at the 2018 USA Shooting Rifle/Pistol National Championships in Fort Benning, Ga. on June 10-17.
"I am excited for Ben and Michael to compete in such a prestigious match," head coach Lori Goodwin said. "They will be competing against some of the very best and it is a wonderful opportunity to continue to grow and compete at the highest level."

Vogrin shot well for the Blazers as a freshman last season, posting his highest score against No. 5 Alaska Fairbanks when he shot a combined score of 1,137. Dietz signed with UAB in the spring and will join the rifle program this fall.
The Blazers open their 2018-19 schedule on Sept. 22 at Memphis.
