Conference USA Announces Television Slate for 2018 Season

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB football team will be showcased on the national stage multiple times this upcoming season as Conference USA has announced that every Blazers game will be televised or streamed nationally in 2018.
UAB will be featured on either ESPN3/ESPN+ six times throughout the season, including its season opener against Savannah State on Thursday, August 30 at 7 p.m. CST, while the Blazers will also make three appearances on the beIN Sports Network and two on Stadium's Facebook broadcast.
Following ESPN's broadcast of the season opener, ESPN+ will be the home of the Blazers' second contest against Coastal Carolina in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Kickoff for the September 8 game is set for 7 p.m. EST/6 p.m. CST.
The ESPN family of networks will also pick up the Charlotte, Rice, UTEP and Middle Tennessee games.
Stadium will have the broadcast rights to UAB's September 15 game against Tulane and its October 6 matchup at Louisiana Tech, which is set for 6 p.m. CST. The Green and Gold boast a 5-4 all-time record against the Green Wave and will be playing their former C-USA foe for the first time since Oct. 27, 2012, while the matchup with the Bulldogs marks just the third time that the Blazers have played in Ruston and the first since Oct. 17, 1998.
beIN Sports will then make Legion Field its home-away-from-home for the Blazers' final three contests in Birmingham as UAB will face North Texas (10/20), UTSA (11/03) and Southern Miss (11/10) on the international sports network with all three kick times slated for 6:30 p.m. CST.
Kick times for UAB's matchups with Tulane (09/15), Charlotte (09/29), UTEP (10/27) and Texas A&M (11/17) will be announced at a later date.
The Blazers are less than 90 days away from the start of the 2018 season, which opens on Thursday night, August 30, at home against Savannah State. Season tickets are on sale by clicking here or calling 205-975-UAB1.
