UAB to Host Youth Clinic in Conjunction with Football Season Opener

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - In conjunction with UAB football's 2018 season opener against Savannah State on Thursday, Aug. 30, the Blazers will host a Youth Sports Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Football Operations Center.
The football game against Savannah State on Aug. 30 is Youth Sports Night in Birmingham, and kids eighth grade or under that purchase their ticket through the Youth Sports Day promotion will also receive free admission to the Youth Sports Clinic led by Head Football Coach Bill Clark the following Saturday. Registration on Saturday, Sept. 1 starts at 8:30 a.m. while the clinic is from 9-11 a.m.
The clinic will cover speed training and agility drills along with nutrition education. Included in the clinic will be a 40-yard dash, shuttle drills, speed ladders and much more. The clinic is not limited to only youth football players, as youth of any sport is welcomed to participate.
UAB and Savannah State will kick at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30 and all youth sports teams are eligible for special group rate tickets of $10 by clicking here and utilizing the promotional code YOUTH.
