Blazers to Face No. 33 Old Dominion in Conference USA Tournament

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men's tennis team will begin play in the Conference USA Tournament on Friday when it takes on No. 33 Old Dominion in the quarterfinals at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
UAB (12-9) enters play in the conference championship seeking its first C-USA win of the season. The Blazers and the Monarchs have yet to meet in competition this year.
Sophomore Tim Dollman looks to continue his winning ways in the tournament as he has compiled a 17-2 record in singles play, including wins in his last eight matches. Dollman has also posted a 13-5 record in doubles play with his partner, Stefan Gonzalez.
Anru Fourie and Kenton Parton have also been stellar in doubles play, recording a 13-4 record in No. 3 doubles to help the Blazers 38-18 overall record.
As a team, the Blazers went a perfect 7-0 at home this season, while its 12 wins are the team's most since the 2015-16 season.
UAB and Old Dominion last competed during last season's C-USA Tournament, which the Monarchs won, 4-2.
