Blazers Vying for Top-20 Finish at Music City

SMYRNA, Tenn. - The No. 14 UAB bowling will look for its ninth top-20 finish of the season as it goes into the final day of the Columbia 300 Music City Classic in 18th place of the 32-team field.

UAB opened the day with a 968-924 win over Jackson State in game one before downing North Central 911-652.

The Blazers closed the day on a three-game losing skid though falling to Maryville, Monmouth and LIU-Brooklyn.

Samantha Johnson led the Blazers individually bowling a 181.40 average over five games and in 67th place overall. Taylor Russell finished just five spots behind Johnson with a 180.60 average and in 72nd place.

McKendree continues to lead the field as it also remains unbeaten at 10-0.

Teams will bowl three best-of-seven Baker matches on Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. UAB squares off with Jackson State in the first game.
