BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Head Coach Bill Clark and the football program invites all UAB employees to join the Blazers on Thursday, March 22 for Employee Appreciation Day at the Football Operations Center from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The event is open to any UAB employee who shows a valid employee One Card when entering the Football Operations Center. Recommended parking is in the WBHM lot on 11th Avenue South across from the old football building and employees will enter the event through that gate (See map above).
Employees are invited to watch the end of UAB's practice beginning at 10:30 a.m., which will be followed by a complimentary lunch with Clark, his staff and the football student-athletes adjacent to Legacy Pavilion until 12:30 p.m.
"Connecting with our UAB employees is very important because they are so instrumental in the success of our student-athletes on and off the field," Clark said. "We want to show our appreciation for their support by giving them a behind-the-scenes look at how their student-athletes prepare on the field and inviting them out for lunch following practice."
Season tickets for UAB employees are available at a discounted rate of $135 for the 2018 season and will be available for purchase via payroll deduction at the March 22 event or by clicking here.
The Blazers went 6-0 at Legion Field last year and will look to continue their success in 2018 with a home schedule that includes Savannah State (Aug. 30), Tulane (Sept. 15), Charlotte (Sept. 29), North Texas (Oct. 20 - Homecoming), UTSA (Nov. 3) and Southern Miss (Nov. 10).
