Blazers Finish Second at Wofford

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB rifle team posted a second place finish at Wofford over the weekend shooting a combined score of 4479.
Selina Curren led all UAB shooters with a score of 564 with the Smallbore rifle and a 572 with the Air Rifle for a combined score of 1136. Olivia Francisco was close behind shooting 554 with the Smallbore and 569 with the Air Rifle for a total of 1123. Curren finished sixth overall while Francisco placed just behind her in seventh.
Lilly Vonderau gave UAB a third shooter in the top 10 with her ninth place finish at Wofford. Vonderau shot 544 with the Smallbore and 568 with the Air Rifle giving her a combined score of 1112.
UAB has now placed in the the top two in back-to-back rifle meets and has five top two finishes this season.
