UAB Cross County Continues To Pile Up Awards

New Orleans – The UAB Cross Country team has earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2017 NCAA Division I Cross Country Team All-Academic Awards, while Emily Drouin earned individual All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA.
In total, 423 teams brought home all-academic honors. Of those 423 teams, 228 were women's programs. UAB combined for a 3.32 GPA this past fall and had to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to earn All-Academic status.
Drouin was one of 269 student-athletes and 169 women to earn 2017 NCAA Division I All-Academic honors. She has a cumulative GPA of 3.85 and is majoring in nursing. In order to be eligible for the all-academic team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and must finish in the top-25 at regionals or as an All-American in the national meet.
In November, Drouin finished 15th at the NCAA South Regional.
