UAB at Texas A&M Selected for National ESPN Broadcast at 6 p.m. CST

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB at Texas A&M contest on Nov. 17 at Kyle Field has been selected for a national ESPN broadcast with kickoff set for 6 p.m. CST.
The game will air on either ESPN or ESPN2, and that decision will be made following this coming weekend's slate of games.
UAB (8-1, 6-0 C-USA) is riding a program-best seven game winning streak and could head to Texas A&M with the Conference USA West Division title in hand if the Blazers can defeat Southern Miss at home this weekend.
The Blazers are 11-0 at Legion Field since returning to action in 2017 and will honor their seniors this weekend, as well as the service men and women who protect our freedom with the annual Salute to Service game.
Defensively, UAB is on pace to set major school and Conference USA records. The Blazers are leading the nation in scoring defense at 12.1 points per game and have held their six C-USA opponents to a total of 38 points. UAB has held five of their six C-USA opponents to seven points or less, and has pitched a shutout in 19-of-24 quarters during league action.
The Aggies (5-4, 3-3 SEC) host Ole Miss this weekend which is the first of three straight home games to end the season, along with the Blazers and LSU. Texas A&M is 3-1 at Kyle Field this year, with its only loss coming to No. 2 Clemson.
This will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs with Texas A&M winning the initial game back in 2009.
UAB hosts Southern Miss this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. A win would give UAB its first-ever C-USA divisional title and clinch its first berth into the C-USA Championship game. Tickets to the game vs. Southern Miss can be purchased by clicking here.
