Cross Country Set for C-USA Championship

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB cross country team returns to action on Saturday with a trip to Boca Raton, Fla., to compete in the Conference USA Championship. The 5,000 meter race is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. CST at the South County Regional Park.
UAB is coming off a seventh place finish at the Blazer Classic, held at the University of Montevallo two weeks ago. Celestial Moon led the Blazers in the first cross country meet in UAB's history.
Moon has been the most consistent runner in the UAB lineup as the Muscle Shoals, Ala., native has led the Green and Gold in consecutive races. The redshirt sophomore has a pair of top-50 finishes under her belt this season.
