Men’s Golf set for Jim Rivers Intercollegiate at Louisiana Tech

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's golf team returns to action this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 15-16, at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate hosted by Louisiana Tech University at Squire Creek Country Club.
The par 72, 7,070-yard course will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The 15-team field will have a shotgun start at 8 a.m. both days.
Along with UAB and Louisiana Tech, the field consists of Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia, Lamar, Middle Tennessee, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Oklahoma City University, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin and Troy.
The Blazers hit the road for the first time since their opening tournament back in Wisconsin in early September. UAB has since played its last two tournaments in Birmingham by hosting the Shoal Creek Invitational and playing in the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate.
John Hayden has notched two top-20 finishes in his first three tournaments and looks to keep that momentum going in Louisiana. He leads the team in stroke average at 72.4.
Hayden will be joined by William Walker III, Sam Goldasich, Nick Robillard and John Snoddy. Ethan Hagood and Alfie Fox will also participate as individuals.
