UAB to Host Ever Faithful 5K

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB Department of Athletics is set to host the inaugural Ever Faithful 5K run on Saturday, Jan. 27. The race is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Bartow Arena.
This event is in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The national event celebrates the importance of fair play, building awareness about Title IX and working together toward its promise of equal opportunity in sports.
Participants will receive admission to both the UAB men's basketball game against UTSA at p.m. and the women's basketball game against Florida Atlantic at 4 p.m., as well as a long sleeve race shirt and will have the opportunity to participate in the post-run party at Bartow Arena.
The run/walk is open to both males and females of all ages with the path being kid friendly. The course will begin at Bartow Arena and travel down to Railroad Park and across the street to the Rotary Trail before making its way back to campus.
The UAB track and field, women's basketball and women's soccer teams will all participate in the event and will be honored at the women's game that afternoon. The teams will also be available for pictures and autographs on the arena concourse prior to the start of the women's basketball team's contest.
The event is $25 for adults and $15 for all youth and UAB students and employees. To sign up for this great event visit UABSports.com/Tickets. Pre-race packet pickup will be Friday, Jan. 26 at the Trak Shak in Homewood.
