Teko Powell to Play in SPIRAL Tropical Bowl All-Star Game

ORLANDO - Senior defensive lineman Teko Powell has accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 SPIRAL Tropical Bowl All-Star Game this Sunday, Jan. 14 at 9 a.m. from Dayton Beach Municipal Stadium.
The graduate transfer started every regular season game for the Blazers and finished the season with All-Conference USA Honorable Mention accolades. Taking on multiple double-teams from the nose and tackle position, Powell finished with 25 total tackles and 4.5 TFLs.
This is the third annual SPIRAL Tropical Bowl and has seen 110 players from this game go on to the NFL since its inception in 2016. It is considered a top four All-Star game by scouts and is attended by almost every NFL team, including a total of 27 last year.

Powell will be a member of the American (Red) team which is coached by R. Todd Littlejohn, while the National (Blue) team is led by Mike Stock. The Tropical Bowl Scouting Executive is headed up by 13-year NFL Scout Ken Moll.
