BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB cross country holds steady at No. 12 in the NCAA South Region standings heading into this weekend's meet at Montevallo.
Coming off a strong opening season win at the Brooks Memphis Twilight, the Blazers are gearing up for their second race of the season at the Falcon Classic hosted by Montevallo. The race is slated for Saturday, Sept. 16 with a start time at 8:45 a.m.

Peek will be making her season debut this weekend at the Falcon Classic. Joining the Blazers at Montevallo will be in-city rival Samford and Mississippi State.

"Holding steady at No. 12 shows that we performed as, if not better than expected at the Memphis Twilight," said head coach Matt Esche. "Last year we did not start the season ranked so improvement has been made in a very short amount of time. We are excited to improve upon that ranking with the challenging schedule in front of us."
