UAB Cross Country Kicks Off 2017 Season

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB Cross Country opens the 2017 season this weekend at the Memphis Twilight meet. This will be the second year in a row that the team opens up at Memphis.
ABOUT THE MEET
South Region opponents Ole Miss, Middle Tennessee, Memphis and UT Chattanooga will all compete at the Memphis Twilight.

"The girls are very excited to be going back to Memphis," head coach Matt Esche said. "It is a unique atmosphere, running at night, and everyone enjoys it. They love running under the lights."
LAST TIME
UAB finished sixth out of 25 teams last year at the Memphis Twilight with an average time of 18:23.51. The Blazers had four runners place in the top 40 in the Women's 5k in 2016. Returners Rebecca Evans, Sarah Livett and Emily Drouin placed 22nd, 35th and 37th respectively last season at Memphis.
