Men's Tennis Hosts Alabama State

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men’s tennis team is set to host Alabama State on Friday at the Lakeshore Tennis Foundation. The Blazers and Hornets are slated to face off at 1 p.m. CT. The match, previously scheduled for earlier this season, was postponed due to weather.

The Blazers are looking to snap a three-game skid as it welcomes Alabama State. UAB boasts a 7-2 mark in home matches this season.
UAB is led by senior Eric Komati, who has recorded 10 wins in singles this season and seven doubles victories with fellow senior Christian Coetzee.
Last week, UAB faced Valpo, South Alabama and Middle Tennessee – but its lineup was shaken up due to Coetzee being out.
Last time out against Alabama State, the Blazers blanked the Hornets, 5-0. In the win, Komati and Coetzee picked up a doubles win and each secured a singles victory for UAB.
