Blazers Drop Tightly Contested Match to Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The UAB men's tennis team fell to Southern Miss 4-3 in a tightly contested road match at the Southern Miss Tennis Facility Saturday afternoon. The Blazers notched three singles win, but couldn't complete the comeback.

DOUBLES
The Eagles took an early 1-0 lead in the match with wins on courts two and three in doubles action. Eric Komati and Anru Fourie fell 6-2 on court two before Kenton Parton Marlon Goering fell on court three 6-3.
SINGLES
The Blazers secured wins on courts one through three, but the Eagles earned wins on courts four through five to secure the victory.
On court one, Tim Dollman earned his 10th win of the season with a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Dollman is an impressive 6-1 on court one for the Blazers this spring.
On court two, Komati earned his 12th win of 2017 with a two set, 6-2, 7-6 victory.
On court three Stefan Gonzalez bounced back after tough, close losses to win 6-1, 6-4.
Fourie, Prton and Tom El Safadi fell on court four through six, respectively.
