UAB Football: Post Practice Coverage from Monday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After its first live scrimmage of the spring on Saturday at Legion Field, the UAB Football team returned to the gridiron on Monday morning in shorts and shoulder pads for practice six.
Head coach Bill Clark noted that the defense came out on top in Saturday's scrimmage and had the better day overall.
"Probably every head coach is this way, but when the defense looks good, you are mad at the offense. When the offense looks good, you are mad at the defense. I thought we came in with a really good mindset. There is still a lot of work to do.
"I thought the defense played well, especially early on. They may have let down a little at the end but give the offense credit for that. I thought both defensive groups were pretty solid."
Coach Clark also noted that the offense had good ball security without fumbling, but threw three interceptions, some of which could have been caught. Players on defense with interceptions were Darious Williams, Keilan Knight and Will Dawkins.
The Blazers will have their seventh and eighth practice later this week prior to a week off for Spring Break.
