UAB Football to Hold Decal Drive on Friday in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - With anticipation building for the 2017 UAB Football season, head coach Bill Clark, along with student-athletes, staff, and spirit team will walk downtown Birmingham and neighboring communities to ask business owners to place 2017 Football decals in their storefronts on Friday, March 31 beginning at 2 p.m.
The decals are a symbol of the community support for the upcoming season and a great way for local businesses to get behind the Blazers.
“The city of Birmingham has been so supportive with the return of UAB Football and we want to continue that with the Decal Drive,” said Coach Clark. “Painting the town Green and Gold demonstrates that Birmingham is the best college football city in the country. We want the fans to join us on March 31 for the Decal Drive because they will continue to play an integral role leading up to September 2 and beyond.”
Fans are invited to join in on the Decal Drive that will start simultaneously in eight areas across Birmingham. Everyone will gather at each location’s starting point at 2 p.m. Fans that join the effort will also receive a free ticket to UAB Football’s Spring Game the next day at Legion Field.
