COACH CLARK QUOTES:
On how the turf held up after the rain last night:
"What an awesome feeling to wake up to and say, `I'm not worried about that.' It was great. We had some limbs and brush out here but we moved it to the side went on. It was a good day."
On how the team looked:
"One of the things we cautioned them about was that there's not a big difference between an offense or a defense. The defense was probably feeling pretty good about themselves today (following the scrimmage), and the offense responded. We did some different things and we let our quarterbacks run the ball a little bit today, we hadn't done a ton of that. It was a good day offensively, we came off the ball better. Defense wasn't terrible but it was an offensive day today."
On what the quarterbacks had to do to get better after Saturday's interceptions:
"A lot of it was a combination of the receivers running routes and the defensive backs making good plays and we made a few wrong reads. It was a learning experience for everybody."
On putting the ball on the ground any on Saturday:
"I don't think we did. It's like what we say, if we're going to be a run and pass equal team we have to be able to protect it from not fumbling and not throwing picks. The defense works a lot on that too and there's a fine line there."
