UAB Finishes Second at VMI

LEXINGTON, Va. - The UAB rifle team traveled to Lexington, Va., to face VMI and finished second with a 2251 overall score.
Lilly Vonderau paced the Blazers in the air rifle division finishing first overall with a 582 score. She shot 94 and above on all six targets and a perfect 100 on the first target.
Selina Curren finished second for UAB and eighth overall with a score of 559. The Pelham, Ala., native shot 91 and above on all targets.
Emily Stover and Kristie Lloyd tied for third for the Blazers with a score of 555, Sarah Grace Banks finished fourth on the team with a 544 mark and Lindsey Hill rounded out the UAB lineup with a 516 score.
Curren also participated in the small bore division and finished third overall with a score of 551.
The Blazers are back in action this weekend as they travel to Charleston, S.C., to compete in the qualifier for the Southern Conference Championships.
