Emily Drouin Named to the InTouch Credit Union All-Academic Team

IRVING, Texas – Conference USA announced the InTouch Credit Union All-Academic Team Thursday and UAB's Emily Drouin was one of six women to make the team.

"Emily has shown a tremendous dedication to both her athletics and academics pursuits," head coach Matt Esche said. "This award showcases her dedication to not only being successful on the course but also in the academic arena."

Drouin, a senior majoring in nursing, finished fifth overall at the C-USA Cross Country Championships and was named First Team All-Conference and the Most Outstanding Senior award.

She has a 3.89 GPA and helped UAB receive an All-Academic nomination from USTFCCCA and was on the 2016-17 Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The Ontario, Canada native led the Blazers in three meets this season including the C-USA Championships were UAB finished fourth overall. It is UAB's best finish at the conference meet since 2010.
