Blazers Sign Alabama Native Hallie Herring

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. β Head coach Michelle Crews has announced the signing of Huntsville, Ala., native Hallie Herring to the No. 18 UAB bowling team.

"We are excited to announce Hallie Herring," Crews said. "We have been able to watch her over the years, her determination to keep learning and growing is undeniable. She is a superstar in the classroom and her potential on the lanes is endless. We are excited to get her to Birmingham and get to work!"

On the lanes, Herring is a two-time Alabama State Generation Gap Champion, three-time U20 Junior Gold National Championship qualifier, three-time Huntsville Youth All-City Team member and a 2017 U20 Pepsi Champion finalist in Alabama.

Off the lanes, she is a member of the Huntsville Youth Chorale that performed at Carnegie Hall. She is a member of the Grissom High School student council as well as being a honor student who has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Additionally, she is a member of the National Honor Society.

To go along with her bowling scholarship, she received the Collegiate Honors Scholarship for academics at UAB.

Herring joins Jamie Krasnigor as a member of UAB bowling's of 2018 signing class.
