BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB beach volleyball will host four, one-day camps to interested participants from the friendly confines of the UAB beach volleyball courts on November 5, December 2, January 28th and February 18th.
Early registration is encouraged as spots will fill up quickly. The registration fee is $160 and each camp will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Campers will receive instruction from head coach Kyra Iannone, who brings an extensive background of success on the international stage, and assistant coach Niatha Cullen, who has experienced the pinnacle of success both as a player (Jacksonville, 2010-2012) and assistant coach (Stetson, 2016).
"Bringing beach volleyball camps to Birmingham is important as we continue to grow the sport at UAB and across the country," Iannone said. "We are going to approach these camps as if we were coaching our own team so the participants can experience what it is like to play beach volleyball at the highest level."
To solidify a spot, interested campers should e-mail Niatha Cullen at ncullen@uab.edu. Same day walk-ups are welcome.
Camps are open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age, grade and or gender.
