Men's Golf Closes Out Fall Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men's golf team rounds out the fall schedule this Saturday and Sunday (October 28-29) with the Steelwood Collegiate in Loxley, Ala. The 54-hole event, hosted by South Alabama, takes place on the links of Steelwood Country Club.
Following an opening 36-holes on Saturday, play will conclude on Sunday with a final 18 on the par-72 course. Joining UAB and South Alabama in the 12-team field are No. 1 Alabama, Kennesaw State, No. 8 Kentucky, Lamar, Liberty, Rice, Richmond, Southern Miss, Troy and Wofford.
R.J. Keur has paced the Blazers this season and leads the club with three tournaments at or under par. He is currently ranked by Golfstat.com as the No. 92 player nationally and has two wins under his belt against top-25 individuals.
Freshman John Racciatti has also provided the Blazers with solid play during his inaugural season, as the Fairhope, Ala. native has contributed his score in 11 of 12 rounds and has been a mainstay in the Blazers' lineup.
Joining Keur and Racciatti in the UAB lineup are Taylor Eyster, John Hayden and Murray Naysmith.
