Blazers Finish Competition at NCAA Sectionals

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The UAB rifle team featured four of its five shooters with scores over 500 Saturday at the NCAA Sectionals from the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
Sophomore Selina Curren paced the Blazers in the air rifle with a score of 576, highlighted by a score of 98 in her final round. Junior Ella Von Canon registered a personal-best score of 563 to finish second on the team.
Sophomore Sarah Grace Banks took third on the team with her score of 560, while freshman Kristie Lloyd was next with a score of 515.
UAB returns to Charleston to close the season March 5 when the Blazers take part in the NCAA Championships.
