MILLSBORO, Del.- The UAB Bowling team won four consecutive matches to sit in sixth place after day two of the UMES Hawk Classic. The Blazers improve to 8-3 overall in the tournament.
“We had a great second day, going 4-2 with two tough losses today,” head coach Michelle Crews said. “The girls fought very hard and bowled consistent all day. We made some adjustments and learned a lot. We are excited to go into match play tomorrow in sixth place. It was a great day to be a Blazer.”
The Blazers lost their first and last match of the day to UMES and Adelphi, respectively. But picked up wins in the second, third, fourth, and fifth match of the day. UAB gained wins against Howard, 953-852, St. Francis College, 947-882, North Carolina A&T, 1030-961, and Monmouth, 980-963.
