UAB Set for Trips to Murray State, UT Martin

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB rifle team returns to action for the first time since late November when the Blazers take part in the Winthrow Invitational and the UTM Invitational this weekend.
Hosted by Murray State, the Winthrow Invitational is scheduled to begin Friday at 8:30 a.m., while Saturday’s UTM Invitational, which is hosted by UT Martin, is slated to start at 8 a.m.
UAB last competed Nov. 23 at the Gamecock Invitational and turned in a team score of 2131. Ella Von Canon paced the Blazers with a score of 546 in the air rifle division.
The Blazers are scheduled to compete at NCAA Sectionals (Feb. 20) and NCAA Championships (March 5) later in the year.
