NASHVILLE, Tenn. ---- UAB’s cross country team turned in season-best performances throughout its lineup Saturday as the Blazers competed in the Commodore Classic.
Lucy Crookes was again the Blazers’ top individual finisher as she finished with a time of 18:06.5. Rebecca Evans was the next to cross the finish line as she clocked a time of 18:25.4.
As a team, UAB finished 17th in the meet won by Michigan.
"Even though our team placing won't reflect, the ladies made tremendous strides today in the right direction,” said UAB head coach Matt Esche. “We had season bests across the board and we learned a lot more about ourselves.
"This meet will set us up very well for field size and level of competition we will have at two weeks at the Greater Louisville Classic."
Hannah Coffin was third for the Blazers at 20:15.6, followed by Allison Wortel (20:55.3) and Laurie Pray (21:53.4).
