Rounding out UAB's javelin entrants were Shelby Barker, who recorded a throw of 28.14 meters (92-04 feet), and Ali Meister, who hurled the javelin 25.90 meters (35 feet).
Kendra Gipson posted the Blazers' best finish in the triple jump, leaping 11.60 meters (38-00 3/4 feet) to take 12th place. Shanice Leach also competed in the triple jump, posting a mark of 11.15 meters (36-07 feet).
"We have a lot of girls ready to compete tomorrow and we're looking to have a good meet," Thomas said.
