Blazers Travel To Troy For Sunday Dual Match

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB men's tennis team will be on the road Sunday as the Blazers play at Troy in their final match before the Conference USA Championship next week.
UAB (6-10) won its last match -- a 4-0 home victory over Jackson State -- last Wednesday before having matches Thursday (Alabama A&M) and Friday (UAH) both canceled. The match with the Bulldogs was called due to A&M encountering unforeseen circumstances relating to their travel plans. Inclement weather forced cancellation of the match with UAH.
The Blazers and Trojans (22-6) are scheduled for a 10 a.m. start at the Lunsford Tennis Center. Troy comes into the match with 12 wins in its last 13 matches. The Trojans defeated No. 67 North Florida Thursday in their most recent action.
Following Sunday's match, the Blazers will then look ahead to the C-USA Championship at Norfolk, Va. this coming week.
