TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Renay Ransaw posted a top-15 finish in the javelin to lead three UAB track and field competitors on day one of the Alabama Relays at Sam Bailey Track and Field Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
Ransaw hurled the javelin 30.11 meters (90 feet, nine inches) on her second attempt to finish 14th overall. The Alabama Relays marks Ransaw's second entry into the javelin throw in as many outdoor meets, as she finished fifth in the event at the Battle of I-65 at Samford University.
