Blazer Rifle Finishes Fifth at Gamecock Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The UAB rifle team finished in fifth place in weekend competition at the Gamecock Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State University.
Ella Von Canon paced UAB in the air rifle division with a score of 546 to help the Blazers finish with a team score of 2131.
Darcy Hyatt was second for the Blazers with 539 points and Emily Stover took third after shooting a 524.
Tori Brown (522), Kelly Ramey (502), Steven Bugg (496), Isaac King (496) and Kristie Lloyd (473) completed the Blazer lineup.
Ivan Roe of Murray State captured the individual title with a score of 1185, finishing with 591 points in smallbore and 594 points in air rifle. The Racers also won the team championship with a score of 4705.
