Coetzee, Pinto Claim Southern Regional Doubles Championship

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ---- Christian Coetzee and Luiz Pinto teamed for two doubles victories Sunday, including a win over the No. 2 seed, to claim the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championship.
The Blazers rallied in both matches after losing the first set.
Coetzee and Pinto, seeded 5-8, defeated another 5-8 team, Louisiana’s Will Huyton and Arthur Libaud, in the semifinals Sunday, 2-6, 7-5, 10-8. The Blazer tandem came back later to oust the Alabama team, seeded No. 2, of Korey Lovett and Mazen Osama, 1-6, 6-3, 10-4.
