UAB Doubles Team Moves Into Semifinals At Regional

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ---- UAB’s doubles team of Christian Coetzee and Luiz Pinto won two matches Saturday to advance to the semifinals of the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships.
Coetzee and Pinto defeated Mississippi State’s Vaughn Hunter and Lucas Sanchez in the Round of 16, 8-6, before later advancing with an 8-2 quarterfinal win over Alabama’s Grayson Goldin and Matthew Rossouw.
The Blazers’ Eric Komati and Pinto fell in their consolation singles matches Saturday.
