Rifle Begins Spring Season At Murray St, UT Martin

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB rifle team will return to action this weekend as it takes on Murray State on Friday and UT Martin on Saturday. The Blazers will compete in the first two of six matches scheduled for the spring.
UAB and No. 8 Murray State square off as part of the Withrow Invitational with the match beginning at 8:30 p.m. CT.
The Blazers will then participate in the UT Martin Invitational on Saturday. UAB is scheduled to take on the Skyhawks at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. CT.
UAB last competed at the Gamecock Invitational as the Blazers posted a 2240 score in the air rifle category. Selina Curren led the team with a 581, while Sarah Grace Banks (572), Margaret Lueck (553), Lindsey Hill (534) and Ella Von Canono (530) rounded out the team scores.
